Dr. John Lueth, Bemidji, a member of the Dental Education Committee of MDA, presented a check to instructors LeAnn Schoenle and Julie Bennett. The funds will help purchase two mannequin chair mounts needed to accommodate the expanded, eight-chair dental lab at CLC.

MDA has provided grants totaling $4,211.25 for three consecutive years in accordance with the dental foundation mission of eliminating unmet oral health needs in Minnesota.

The CLC Dental Assisting program has operated at capacity with a student waiting list for several years and in 2010 plans to expand its capacity with state funding for the community clinic that operates in collaboration with the Department of Human Services.
