Visual art students at Central Lakes College, Brainerd, have opened an exhibit of two- and three-dimensional works created in conjunction with an opportunity for purchases made by Cragun's Resort.
Mic Stowell, instructor, reports that this first CLC Student Art Show was given impetus by the chance for student artists to have their works considered by the resort for inclusion in marketing and promotion of activities such as golf.
The art was judged by Jeff Millikan, a University of Minnesota photographic art instructor.
The paintings, drawings and sculptures are displayed in the CLC Gallery near the Learning Resource Center on the Brainerd campus through this week. They include pieces by Chris Miller of Fifty Lakes, and Kelly Humphrey, Aaron Hauck and Scott Malone, all of Brainerd.
The gallery is open during regular college hours. In the hallways adjacent to the gallery are the numerous entries and award-winners in the annual CLC Photography Contest, also displayed for the rest of the week.
