The Brainerd Family YMCA and Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department will again bring British Soccer Camps to the lakes area.
The week-long camp offers three-hour sessions for novice players; three-hour sessions for older, more experienced players and teams; and an advanced six-hour camp for competitive players and teams.
The camp will run Monday through Friday, Aug. 6-10, at Memorial Park across from Potlatch in Brainerd. Each child will be coached by a member of the professional British staff flown to the USA exclusively to perform a series of summer coaching camps for Challenger British Soccer Camps.
During the week of the camp, the staff will put on a free clinic for parents and coaches at Memorial Park on Tuesday, Aug. 7. The clinic will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will cover organization of practices, technical and tactical drills, systems of play, etc.
Registration received after June 22 will be on a space-available basis. For more information on the camp or clinic please contact David at the YMCA (829-4767).
