LITTLE FALLS -- Evelyn S. Regnell, 83, Little Falls, died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.
She was born May 29, 1917, in Flensburg to John and Hattie (Petrus) Wielinski. She was raised by Joe and Anna Rutz in the Flensburg area. She married Clarence Hlad in September 1941 in Flensburg. He died in May 1976. She married Robert Regnell in June 1983 in Flensburg. She worked at Munsingwear, Pine Edge Inn, cleaning the parish house at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls and operating a greenhouse out of her home for 30 years.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sharon Ehrnst, Detroit Lakes; a son, Myron Hlad, St. Cloud; three stepdaughters, Linda Meyer, Little Canada, Sharon Justin, Randall, and Charlene Holste, Little Falls; a stepson, Robert Regnell Jr., Prior Lake; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leona Yanta, Washington, and Rose Copa, Little Falls; and two brothers, Martin Rutz, Flensburg, and Tony Rutz, Little Falls.
Her first husband; three brothers, Frank, Simon and John Rutz; and two sisters, Clara Copa and Verna Hlad, died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg with Father David Grundman officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, with Christian Mothers praying at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 7 p.m., and from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
