CROSBY -- The Crosby-Ironton senior citizens will hold their monthly meeting and potluck at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Cuyuna Range Community Center.
Those coming are reminded to bring their own dishes, silver and something to pass. Coffee will be provided. Hostesses will be Doris Danielson and Kaye Frey.
Gen Mollenhauer will present keyboard music.
All area senior citizens are welcome and invited to join the club. Annual dues are $1.
Learn what plants attract butterflies
HACKENSACK -- Susan Rozner Short will teach what plants attract colorful butterflies to yards at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Deep Portage Conservation Reserve.
She will show a variety of perennials and annuals that will
bring butterflies to gardens. She has a slide presentation and will answer questions.
She is a master gardener and former instructor at Deep Portage. At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17, Alma Christensen will present her program on Wild Foods. She has been the "Lady of the Woods" at Deep Portage for many years.

Special mothers to receive flowers
The Friendship Circle volunteer organization will donate bouquets of fresh flowers and plants from area floral shops to special mothers for Mother's Day.
Contact Tammy Ebertowski or Barb Johnson at 568-8679 before Saturday for nomination details. Drawings will be held at 10 a.m. that day.
