The Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers baseball team of the Northwoods League is still looking for host families for its 2009 team.
Similar to exchange programs, host families are asked to provide room and board for their player. However, the stay is much shorter (typically Memorial Day weekend into the first week or second week in August). In return, host families are given season tickets to Lunkers games as well as many other perks throughout the season.
Anyone interested in learning more about becoming a host family may e-mail Jenny Holmes, Lunkers host family coordinator, at email@example.com or call (218) 963-2556.
