Real estate professionals attend training
BAXTER - Nearly 30 area real estate professionals from a number of real estate brokerages recently attended a short sales seminar.
The short sales seminar involved working with sellers who are on the brink of foreclosure and whose mortgage companies are willing to accept a sales price short of what is owed to them.
Dave Nicolai of Keller Williams Integrity Realty of Elk River instructed the seminar to help agents detail the finer points of handling short sale transactions.
'Thriving in a Shifting Market' theme of recent class
BAXTER - Nearly 40 Brainerd lakes area real estate agents and industry-related professionals recently attended "Thriving in a Shifting Market," taught by Tony DiCello of Keller Williams University.
The class provided agents the tools to build a personal economic model; generate, follow-up and convert leads; use the language of sales; and negotiate win-win deals for clients.
DiCello has worked for 34 years in real estate sales, brokerage management and real estate development.
Crosslake Edina Realty donates to food shelf
CROSSLAKE - The Crosslake Edina Realty office donated 60 pounds of food items and $200 cash to the Lakes Area Food Shelf in Pequot Lakes.
The Crosslake office raises money for charitable contributions through weekly lunches and donations made from agents' real estate commissions at the time of closing every real estate transaction.
The Edina Realty Foundation matches local contributions made by area agents.
Hinrichs and Maier join Keller Williams Realty
Bev Hinrichs and Dave Maier, real estate sales professionals in the Benton and Morrison county area, recently joined Keller Williams Reality Brainerd Lakes.
Home Stretch classes scheduled in Brainerd
Home Stretch, a first-time homebuyer education workshop, will be offered from 6-9 p.m. June 11,18 and 25 at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.
The workshops educate first-time homebuyers about the process of buying a home. Topics include financing and mortgage approval process, budget and credit issues, real estate, closing procedures, basic home maintenance and affordable mortgage products that may be available. Some affordable mortgage products, first-time homebuyer products and government loans may require a buyer to receive a Home Stretch certificate.
The Central Minnesota Housing Partnership, a nonprofit organization providing affordable housing services to central Minnesota, coordinates the Home Stretch workshops.
