Chris Foley Golf Schools will offer free 10-minute lessons in May in conjunction with "PGA Free Lesson Month," the national growth-of-the-game campaign.
The promotion is a joint partnership of The PGA of America, Golf Digest, Golf For Women, and The Golf Channel.
Foley will offer free lessons on the following dates:
May 9: 4-5 p.m.; May 17: 5-6 p.m., May 21 5-6 p.m.
Joni Meyer will offer free lessons on these dates:
May 9: 11 a.m.-Noon; May 19: 5:30-6:30 p.m.; May 21 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Nisswa Open scheduled
The Nisswa Lions Club will be the sponsor for this year's Nisswa Open May 25 at Grand View Lodge's The Pines course.

Jaques tournament slated June 8
The seventh annual Jaques Art Center Golf Tournament is scheduled 1 p.m. June 8 at Cuyuna Country Club.
This year's hole-in-one prize is a 2007 Mustang from Aitkin Motors.
Net proceeds fund the daily operations and programming of the arts center.

Junior Golf Development Program
Chris Foley Golf Schools is offering five levels of junior golf development programs this season.
Programs range from rookie school to high school development program:
Rookie School: June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11 and 18.
Intermediate School: June 7, 14, 21, 28, July 12, and 19.
Junior Golf Camp: July 30, 31, August 1, 2 and 3.
Kids on the Course: June 7, 14, 21, 28, July 12, 19, 26, August 2, 9 and 16.
High School Development Program: June 2, 12, 19, 26, July 10 and 17.

Kim Savage, Rochester, aced the 158-yard 13th hole at Golden Eagle Golf Club May 7 using a 4-iron.
Jeff Spillum, Hawley, aced the 160-yard 1st hole at Madden's Pine Beach East Course May 7 using an 8-iron.
