Warrior boys, girls come up short at section true team meet

MOORHEAD - Brainerd's Hannah McAllister turned in a time of 2:18.43 to win the 800-meter run and posted a time of 5:21.17 to win the 1600 run and helped the Warriors girls' track and field team to third place at the Section 8, Class 3A true team meet Tuesday.

Tom Lyscio won the discus with a toss of 140-0 and placed second in the shot put while Ryan Barnes won the high jump with a leap of 6-2 as the Warriors boys' team placed fourth.
Robyn Wernberg won the discus with a throw of 123-5 and placed second in the shot put for the Warriors.
Girls' honor roll performances were turned in by Madison Smith in the 100 and 300 hurdles; Kelsi Ring in the 100 hurdles; Wernberg in the shot put; Heather Erickson, Jodi Larson and Northway in the pole vault; Northway also was honor roll in the pole vault.
Hannah McAllister won the 800- and 1600-meter run.
The boys' honor roll performances were turned in by Justin Tyner, Tyler Rose and Luke Delaney in the 1600 and Mitch Lorenz in the 800.
