CROSBY -- The 250 members of the Crosby-Ironton junior high and high school choirs, directed by Wayne Ellingsen, will present their annual spring concert at 7 p.m. May 16 in Mayberry Auditorium. The Seventh-Grade Choir, Varsity Choir, Girls' Triple Trio, Chamber Singers, Boys' Quartet and Concert Choir will perform.
The spring concert will include a variety of musical styles, including songs from motion pictures and Broadway, an Italian aria, barbershop, country and western, oldies, spiritual and current pop music.
Musical selections will include "Rock This City," "I'm a Believer," "The Runaway Bride Medley," "Ghost Riders In The Sky," "Come To My Garden," "Gettin' in the Mood," "Medley From Phantom Of The Opera," "The Stars Are With The Voyager" and "Wade In The Water."

Soloists will be Jace Christensen, Julie Fournier, Blake Knuth, Kasee Moon, Mallory Larson, Jessica Henderson, Dave Jopp, Matt Dooyema, Tim Faatz, Joelle McDonald, Madina Hagberg, John Juracek, Devan Preimesberger, Jennifer Christensen and Tyler Moe.
Faatz was selected to be a member of the 2002-2003 All State Choir. He will sing his audition Italian aria.
Mariya Hachey, Judie Johnson and Linda Faatz will accompany the choirs on piano.
The National School Choral Award and the Directors Choral Award will be presented along with certificates and recognition of the 12 Concert Choir seniors.
Choir members have been conducting raffle sales to help raise funds for next fall's Orlando Tour. The raffle prizes, which include dinner for two at Zig's, a homemade knit afghan, a family portrait package, an X-Box Microsoft Game System and 52 pizzas, will be drawn at this concert.
Admission for the concert is free, although donations will be accepted to defray costs of next year's Orlando Tour.
