Cards, Hasselberg finish 2nd

MENAHGA - Cydney Hasselberg was one shot of the individual title as she shot 80 to help place the Staples-Motley Cardinals in second place Tuesday in the Menahga-Sebeka Invite at Blueberry Pines.

Julia Schock shot 84 and Hailey Roberts fired an 85 to help the fifth-ranked Cardinals shoot 339, two-strokes behind Grand Rapids.

Megan Lenz carded a 93 to lead the fifth-place Pequot Lakes Patriots. Wadena-Deer Creek finished seventh and were led by Kayla Krause's 95.

KIMBALL - Sam Herold's 106 led the Pierz Pioneers to fifth place in Thursday's Kimball-Eden Valley-Watkins Invite.

The Pioneers shot a 443 with Anna Poster and Beth Woitalla posting 109s and Maria Janson a 119.
