NEW YORK (AP) -- Foodies who love to travel will find a host of delicious destinations in the May issue of Gourmet magazine.
The magazine has paired places with recipes, including Puebla, Mexico, and chalupas, and Amman, Jordan, and lamb in spiced yogurt.
A story about Jurancon, France, focuses on fine dessert wines found there, and a piece about Turin, Italy, features local wines, chocolatiers, pastries, cafes and white truffles.
For a culinary journey that does not involve using your passport, the magazine describes a drive along the north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota in search of smoked ciscoes -- small freshwater fish.
Gourmet's May issue also lists the world's "Best Hotel Dining Rooms."
Those singled out for excellence domestically include the Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta; the Charles Hotel in Boston; the Park Hyatt in Chicago; the Seelbach-Hilton in Louisville, Ky.; the Mandarin Oriental in Miami; the Rittenhouse in Philadelphia; Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix; and the Ritz-Carlton in Washington D.C.
