CROSSLAKE -- A Fishing Opener Bake Sale will run 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., or until sold out, Friday at the Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion Post 500.
The bake sale is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. It will take place during the meat raffle.
Breezy Point Area Women's Club holds May Day meeting
BREEZY POINT -- Members of the Breezy Point Area Women's Club met May 1 at Breezy Point City Hall for their May meeting and program.
Hostesses were Jan Laak, Helen Landecker, Diane Williams and Betty Lindahl. Munchies catered the lunch, and Eunice Wiebolt gave a program on "Gracious Living, Greater Ambiance." A business meeting followed the program.
Club members are planning the annual fund-raiser, which will be a spaghetti dinner and bake sale Aug. 3 at Breezy Point City Hall.

Course on manipulating digital images set in Emily
EMILY -- A course on manipulating digital images will be held 6 to 8 p.m. May 23 at Emily Charter School.
The course is for those who want to learn how to scan and import images into documents using PC digital cameras and a flatbed scanner.
Materials will be provided. Students will import images into Microsoft Word from the camera or scanner, then manipulate the images to come up with a final document. Students will resize, crop, text wrap and rotate their images. They will also manipulate colors and edit brightness and contrast in their images.
Cost is $17. Instructor will be Jake Stern.
Cass Council on Aging to meet May 20 in Pillager
PILLAGER -- The Cass County Council on Aging will meet at 1 p.m. May 20 at the Pillager Senior Center.
The senior center is a senior nutrition site and meals are served at 11:45 a.m. To reserve a meal, call 746-3284 before noon May 17. Call between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
At this meeting, Mike Diekmann, from the Cass County Sheriff's Department, will give a presentation on "Personal Safety Issues."
This meeting is open to the public and all are invited to attend.
Cass County Triad will meet 10 a.m. May 21 in the Law Enforcement meeting room in the Cass County Courthouse, Walker.
