HASTINGS (AP) -- A Farmington driver has been charged in a passenger's death after his car ran off a road and overturned in a pond in Eagan.
Shoodley Cherichel, 22, was charged with criminal vehicular homicide on Monday. He told investigators that he was driving about 85 miles per hour when he lost control of the vehicle around 1:30 a.m. Friday.
Tracey Mastel, 28, of Farmington was trapped in the wreckage and drowned before emergency workers could save her.
