Coleman to open fishing season on Whitefish chain

Senate hopeful Norm Coleman will open the 2002 fishing season on the Whitefish chain of lakes.

Coleman will begin with a reception at 7 p.m. at the Whitefish Golf Course, 7883 County Road 16, in Pequot Lakes. Refreshments will be available and the reception is open and free to the public.

Coleman, an avid fisherman, will head out on Whitefish at midnight. Local guides Phil Laube and Mike Young will lead the way.
