BARNUM -- The Crosby-Ironton Rangers boys track and field team placed second with 124 points and the girls placed fifth with 85 points Thursday in the Barnum Invitational.
James Jensen finished in first in the 200 meter with a time of 23.9 and also as a part of the 4x100 meter relay team, along with John Koons, Kyle Bartels and Tom Mount, with a time of 46.7. Dan Jillson, Bryan Brown, Riley McDonald and Troy Caddy were the members of the first place 4x800 meter relay team with a time of 9:43.
Krista Anderson was the big scorer for the girls. Anderson took first place in the mile and half-mile with a time of 5:38 and 2:33, respectively. Anderson was also a part of the 4x400 meter relay team along with Shannon Lashyro, Erica Lundgren and Abby Brauch who took first with a time of 4:39.4. Lashyro aslo won the 400 meter with a time of 66.3.
Both the boys and girls teams will take part in the Ranger Invitational Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Crosby.
