Vikings Community Tour to stop in Brainerd

Rookie of the year running back Adrian Peterson and owner Zygi Wilf are scheduled to participate in the Minnesota Vikings Community Tour that will stop in the lakes area May 15.

Sponsored by the Brainerd Lakes Chamber and Brainerd Sports Boosters Club, the tour will begin with a one-hour program at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.

At 11:30 a.m. the tour will shift to the Red Roof Inn in Brainerd for a sandwich buffet lunch. Tickets are $11 and must be purchased in advance at chamber offices in Brainerd, Pequot Lakes, Crosslake and at the Welcome Center on Highway 371 South.

Lester Bagley, the Vikings' vice president of public affairs/stadium development, will make a presentation entitled, "Believe in Now." Peterson and Wilf are also scheduled to speak.

Brainerd Warriors football coach Ron Stolski's career will be acknowledged and Peterson will present the Warrior Athlete of the Week.

Paul Allen of KFAN, the play-by-play voice of the Vikings, will emcee the program. KFAN will broadcast live from Buffalo Wild Wings from 9 a.m. to noon May 15.
