THEFT - Melissa Born, 500 block of South Fifth Street, Monday reported the theft of $100 from her apartment.
Brenda Koob, 100 block of H Street, Monday reported the theft or her daughter's bicycle.
CRASHES - No injuries were reported in a three-vehicle collision at 6:07 p.m. Monday at Washington and North Fifth streets.
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle, rear-end collision at 3:33 p.m. Monday at College Drive and Fourth Street South.
ARREST - A 20-year-old Staples man was arrested for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance in a school zone, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession of alcohol after police officers and the Central Minnesota Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on the 400 block of Fifth Street Northeast. Officers found marijuana in small plastic bags, smoking devices and a digital scale in the suspect's room.
THEFT - It was reported Monday that about 40 bags of seed corn valued at $6,000 was stolen from the Sobieski Co-op Creamery. The bags are white, green and yellow and weigh about 50 pounds. The creamery is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the thief. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's department at (320) 632-9233. Those with information may remain anonymous.
