Wernberg wins discus, Warrior boys' and girls' finish fifth

ST. PAUL - Robyn Wernberg won the discus with a toss of 114-05 and placed second in the shot put to help the Brainerd Warriors girls' track and field team to fifth place Saturday at the Hamline relays.

Hannah McAllister placed second in the 800-meter run with a school-record time of 2:17.69.

Tyler Rose, Mitch Lorenz, Luke Delaney and Justin Tyner teamed up to place second in the distance medley with 10:54.44 to lead Brainerd boys' team to fifth.

Darin Underhill placed second in shot put with 48-03.75. Tom Lyscio was third with 47-09.00 and was second in discus with 146-07. Thomas Ruttger placed second in the 3200-meter run with 10:14.50. Tim Yeh jumped 19-09.00, good for third place in the long jump.

Earning honor roll spots for the Warrior girls were Katherine Mueller (400), McAllister (800), Megan Holmes (3200), Wernberg (shot put) and the 4x400 relay (H.
