Pioneers get outslugged by Kimball

KIMBALL -- Both Sarah Kahl and Kelly Medick contributed two hits and three RBI as the Pierz Pioneers softball team lost 16-15 to Central Minnesota Conference foe Kimball Thursday.

Tammy Gruber, Tina Pohlkamp and Amber Kummet all added two hits each for the Pioneers.

RUSH CITY -- The Aitkin Gobblers, led by Kelly Hoge's two hits and two RBI, lost 5-4 to Rush City Thursday.

Teya Evans, Ellie Cox, Angie Carlson and Sarah Ibenez all had two hits for Aitkin, who out hit Rush City 11-3.

VERNDALE -- Maria Moenkedick and Bobbi Rogge each contributed an RBI for the Verndale Pirates, but it wasn't enough as New York Mills pulled out a 5-3 win over the Pirates Thursday.
