Robert Miller, 424 Cedar, Brainerd, was elected commander of Carl Sidney Hanson Post No. 255 of the Brainerd American Legion. Miller, who is a teacher at Brainerd High School, succeeds Bob Anderson.

Brainerd will play host to some 1,500 visiting firemen for the annual meeting of the Minnesota State Fire Department Association June 7, 8, 9 and 10. President of the association is Ray Shortridge, Brainerd's fire chief.

Approximately 400 Washington students will participate in a physical education review Wednesday, May 18 in the Washington gym it was announced today by Kermit Aase, director of athletics, and physical educator at the Washington High School.
