PINE RIVER --Gilman Homme, 90, Pine River, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at the Country Care Home in Pequot Lakes.
He was born Sept. 4, 1909, in High Landing to John and Emma (Kuenoden) Homme. He married Rose Gerzin on Nov. 15, 1937. They lived in Minnesota and Utah until he entered the Navy and served in World War II. Upon his discharge they lived in Wisconsin, where he was in the plumbing and heating business. In 1961 they moved to California where he had been employed with the Castro Valley School District. They lived in California until 1995 when they returned to Minnesota. They lived at Riverside Villas in Pine River. He spent his last year at the Bethany House in Brainerd and the Country Care Home in Pequot Lakes.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dianne Hipsher, Longville; and a brother, James, Carlsbad, Calif.
Two sisters, three brothers and his parents died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Northland Funeral Home in Pine River with Father Roland Antus officiating.
Friends may call one hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
