Dogs killed 114 turkeys and injured another 75 early Saturday at the Earl B. Olson Turkey Farm in Baxter. The incident prompted a warning from Mayor Stan Smith, who said dogs running loose on turkey farm property would be shot on sight.

The first phase of a long range plan to provide a year-round camping experience for the mentally retarded is well under way here. Under the direction of Dick Endres of the state hospital, 140 acres on Sylvan Lake was purchased for $22,900.

Brainerd has been selected as the site for two school patrol safety and conservation camps to be held in June. The location this year will be at the fair grounds on Rice Lake.

Alleged "speakeasies," rum peddlers, beer farms and transporters suffered severely at the hands of the law over the weekend with a roundup of a large majority of the offenders by county sheriff officers and federal officials.
