Why is it against the law to toss your garbage out the window but it seems to be OK for smokers to toss their lit cigarettes out the window? They need to start cracking down on them or better yet, let us write down the license numbers and turn them in so they can get the $700 "do not litter fine." I also don't appreciate lit cigarettes flying back onto my windshield, especially with the dry weather.

Crazy bus drivers

Do the bus drivers not have to follow traffic signs and laws? Between the high school and the south campus it is crazy in the mornings. The buses have no regard for traffic other than each other. When one pulls out they all pull out even if there are already cars coming - behind the high school, across from the college and at the lights at College Square, continually running stop signs and lights. Maybe the people on the newly formed committee should come take a look someday.

Sad times at C-I

Crosby-Ironton School's management style is fear and intimidation. The former superintendent left her legacy intact. She did a great job of mentoring the school board and new superintendent in how you destroy a wonderful school system that took years to build. These are sad times for C-I students.

Disappointed by slide show

I was at the all-sports banquet on Monday at the high school. Bravo to the organizers. The meal was great and the program was well planned out. However, the slide show presented by the Dispatch at the end of the evening was less than perfect. It became obvious to everyone that the Dispatch has their favorite sports. There were lots of pictures of certain sports yet other sports were either highlighted with just a couple of pictures, pictures from last year's season or no pictures at all. What a disappointment for the sports teams and athletes that were not recognized.
