Fergus Falls sweeps CLC

FERGUS FALLS -- The Central Lakes College Raiders baseball team was swept by the Fergus Falls Spartans by scores of 4-3 and 7-0 Tuesday.

A three-run third inning by the Spartans sealed their victory in the first game as the Raiders were unable to produce runs. The Raiders had their chances, leaving 10 runners on base.

In the second game the Raiders were held scoreless with only two hits off Fergus Falls pitching.

"They're a good team," said Raiders coach Warren Mertens. "Today they got the breaks and we didn't."

Nate Huber continues to swing a hot bat for CLC as he was 4-for-7 on the day, while Nate Heim was 2-for-3.
