Two students in the landscape horticulture studies program at Central Lakes College, Brainerd, were awarded scholarships by the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association.
Justin Fischer, a sophomore from Park Rapids, and Loretta Pederson, a freshman from Tintah, were recognized by MNLA as "superior students" with recommendations and essays demonstrating their potential as future leaders in the nursery and landscape industry.
MNLA has 1,200 members. The scholarships at CLC are co-sponsored by Bailey Nurseries, a wholesale grower based in Newport.
