NISSWA - Tyler Monda narrowly missed medalist honors in his fourth straight meet in Thursday's Brainerd Invite boys' golf meet at the Preserve.
The Brainerd senior shot 76, one stroke behind a first-place tie for honors between Bo Anderson of Park of Cottage Grove and Colton Boege of Rogers.
"Tyler is showing he's going to continue to be a very consistent player," Warriors coach Brian Wallace said. "He's still saying he's not playing very well but it's great to still be one of the low scores of the day and he knows he can be that much better. He's still looking forward to better rounds. That will be fun to watch."
Following Monda were teammates Michael Foley with an 87, Sean Halvorson 88, Ethan Sweet and Mike Monda with 89s and Jackson Ronnei 93.
Pequot Lakes was led by Charlie Hollinbeck's 84. Drake Beyer added an 86, Jonas Dale 91 and Michael Eck 96.
