FERGUS FALLS - Trevor Thompson went the distance to help the Brainerd Warriors to a 3-1 Central Lakes Conference baseball victory Tuesday over the Fergus Falls Otters.

Thompson pitched seven innings, allowing seven hits and one earned run. He struck out two and walked one in a game that lasted just one hour and nine minutes.

"The defense played really well, but we've been playing good defense lately," said Warriors coach Lowell Scearcy. "Trevor threw well. He threw strikes and kept the ball in play. Fergus spread their hits around. I think they had one hit in every inning."

The Otters' lone run was a solo home run by their catcher.
