Willmar netters defeat Brainerd

WILLMAR -- The Brainerd Warriors got off to a strong start as their top two singles players, Paul Tuchscherer and Matt Steiger, won their matches but the momentum changed as the Willmar Cardinals won the remaining matches for a 5-2 Central Lakes Conference win Thursday.

Tuchscherer won his match over Mark Hallstrom 6-4, 6-2, while Steiger pulled off a close win over Eric Holter 7-5, 6-2.
