Rahman named Concordia coach

MOORHEAD -- Staples-Motley High School graduate Jessica (Beachy) Rahman has been named the head women's basketball coach at Concordia College.

Rahman was a four-time All-American at Concordia and helped the Cobbers win the national championship in the 1987-88 season. She is the school's all-time leading scorer and was inducted into the Concordia Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998.

Rahman has been the head girl's coach at St. Cloud Tech High School since 1999.

In 1987-88, the Cobbers won the NCAA championship. She was a first-team All-American. She also was honored with the NCAA Division III Player of the Year in 1988, received the Honda Award as the NCAA Division III Female Athlete of the Year and earned one of the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships.
