SARTELL -- The Sartell Sabres pushed unbeaten Brainerd but the Warriors prevailed for a 4-3 Central Lakes Conference softball victory Thursday.
Brainerd, which collected just three hits, scored on wild pitches in the first and third innings. First baseman Alyssa Anderson provided the other runs with a two-run double over the center fielder's head in the third.
Right-hander Erin Donnelly picked up her ninth victory of the season. She struck out five, walked six, allowed six hits and three earned runs.
Brainerd committed no errors and turned two defensive gems.
In the fourth, a Sartell hitter launched a double over center fielder Lindsey Jourdan's head. Jourdan retrieved the ball, threw to shortstop Megan Arns who fired to third baseman Abby Rehberger to nail the runner at third.
The Warriors turned a double play in the sixth. Arns scooped up a ground ball and flipped to second baseman Jackie Sullivan who relayed to Anderson at first.
