Rev. Henry W. Mueller

SAUK RAPIDS -- Rev. Henry W. Mueller, 94, Backus, died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids.

He was born De. 19, 1905, in Kimmswick, Mo., to Heinrich and Mathilda Mueller. He married Lauretta Gosch on Dec. 26, 1933, in Sioux River, Iowa. He attended Seminary College and had been a minister in River Sioux and Livermore, Iowa, as well as in Frazee, Evergreen Toad Lake, St. Peter Bell, Elysian, Hill City, Remer and Backus.

Survivors include sons Henry, St. Cloud, John, Backus, and Richard, Hominy, Okla.; a daughter, Carolyn Whitson, Blaine; brother Winifred, San Diego; sisters Dorothy, Corte Madera, Calif., and Henrietta Medcalf, Richfield; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

His wife; brothers Renautus and Adelbert; sisters Mathilda Bowman and Adeline Mueller, died earlier.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Backus with Paster Don Haselhun officiating. Burial will be in the Ponto Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Arrangements are with Northland Funeral Home in Pine River.
