PINE RIVER --Selma S. Diepholz, 95, Pine River, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Village in Pine River.
She was born Dec. 30, 1904, in Wentworth, S.D., to Fredrick and Wilhelmina (Unzelman) Schrader. She worked as a typesetter for the Wentworth Newspaper and owned and managed her own beauty salon in Madison, S.D. She married Robert Stanford, Sr., in 1925 and began working as an assistant at Floe's Photography Studio. Robert Sr. died in 1945 and in 1954 she married Edman Diepholz.
Survivors include daughter, Marlene Cox, Nisswa.
Her husbands; sons Robert Stanford, Jr. and Dr. Duane Stanford; brothers Louis Schrader, Hugo Schrader, Martin Schrader, Fred Schrader and Werner Schrader; sisters Hilda Kehr and Ida Diepholz; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren died earlier.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Crosslake Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.
Friends may visit from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be Monday at Graceland Cemetery in Madison, S.D.
Memorials preferred to Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Village in Pine River.
Arrangements are with Northland Funeral Home in Pine River.
