WILLMAR -- Georgia F. Webb, 84, of Willmar, formerly of Brainerd, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Alterra Sterling House in Willmar. A prayer service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church in Willmar. There will be another memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Cayuga Community Cemetery, Cayuga, N.D. Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Memorials may be given to Rice Hospice, 301 Becker Ave. SW, Willmar, MN 56201.
Georgia was born on July 24, 1919, in Garrison, Neb., the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Semerad) Rada. She was raised in the Fullerton, N.D., area attending country school and graduating from Fullerton High School in 1937. On June 9, 1940, she was united in marriage to Ross Webb at home near Fullerton, N.D. Following their marriage, they lived in Wyndmere and later Cayuga, N.D. Following her husband's death in 1960, Georgia went back to school and earned her bachelor's of science in education degree from Ellendale Teacher's College. She taught in Cayuga, moving to Brainerd in 1966 where she was the Title I Lead Teacher, retiring after 30 years.
Georgia was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Southeast Brainerd Association and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also volunteered with the Fair Board, Election Board and at the library and State Hospital.
She was baptized and confirmed in Fullerton, N.D., and was a member of Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd where she was active with United Methodist Church Women circle and had been a Sunday school teacher and superintendent.
Surviving are her children, Duane (and Win) Webb of Merced, Calif., Dale (and Addie) Webb of Albuquerque, N.M., Dottie (and special friend, Dean Hendrickson) of Willmar, Walter (and Dawn) Webb of Brandon, S.D., Jim Webb of Boca Grande, Fla., and Wanda (and George) Kenney of Venice, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Hendricks of Hankinson, N.D.; and sister-in-law, Myra Rada of Ellendale, N.D.
In addition to her husband, Ross and parents, her infant son, Gerald, and brother, George, preceded her in death.
