The Central Lakes College Vocal Music Department will feature the Cantar Concert Chorale and the Chamber Singers in a free concert Tuesday.
Presented in Tornstrom Auditorium at Washington Middle School, Brainerd, the program will offer a variety, from sacred and spiritual to Broadway and rock opera.
The show will start at 7:30 p.m., with a 10-minute intermission following songs by men's and women's ensembles selected from the chorale.
Director is Michelle Sakry-Winkelman and choral pianist is Sarah Cohoes.
Tom Barthel of Brainerd will be a bass soloist in the Central Lakes College choir concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tornstrom Auditorium at Washington Middle School in Brainerd.
The evening will feature an awards presentation to outstanding vocal students.
Student singers are sopranos Christine Alt of Pillager, Melissa Ruud and Danielle Tetrick of Aitkin, Leia Ahlgrim of Pequot Lakes, Rosemary Brancheau of Pine River, Christa Ebert of Little Falls, Lydia Hawley, Naomi Ready and Sara Carlton of Emily, Mary Stockinger of St. Cloud, Amber Steinke, Shana Strom and Leah Brown of Brainerd, and Shaunna Talcott of Shakopee, altos Maureen Madson of Verndale and Anna Kasper of Deerwood, tenors Chris Koopman of McGregor, Adam Pryzmus of Minneota and Curt Brenner of St. Cloud, and basses Tom Barthel of Brainerd, Benjamin Miller of Sandstone, Joe Backowski of Little Falls and Grant Villella of Crosslake.
CLC percussionist-drummer AJ VanVickle of Pillager will accompany on bongos and timpani. Sue Anderson LaFlex of Brainerd will accompany on bass.
