MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Nearly 300 people were evacuated from the Humphrey terminal at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for about 30 minutes Wednesday because of a small fire sparked by construction work.
Workers were reinforcing the roof to meet blastproofing requirements about 3:30 p.m. when a blowtorch ignited nearby lumber.
A hole was cut in the roof to vent the terminal, but there was little smoke.
