Weekly Highway 210 project meetings to start May 7

Posted: Thursday, May 01, 2003

Public information meetings regarding the Highway 210 reconstruction project will begin at 7:30 a.m. May 7 at the Westgate Mall in front of the Dairy Queen.

The meetings will continue weekly at 7:30 a.m. Wednesdays during the summerlong construction project.

Individuals who attended this morning's meeting between MnDOT representatives and the Brainerd Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce Highway 210 reconstruction steering committee suggested Crow Wing County may want to have a representative at the next meeting.

Frustration was expressed with the lack of advance information regarding the recent closure of James Street and resumption of construction work on Riverside Drive.

Todd Holman, Baxter city planner, told the steering committee today the city will be lenient with the need for temporary signs by businesses affected by the construction zone.
