Elizabeth K. Reger

STAPLES -- Elizabeth K. Reger, 92, Staples, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at the Greater Staples Care Center in Staples.

She was born Feb. 13, 1910, in Urbank to Paul and Anne (Faust) Klimek. She grew up and attended school in Urbank. She married Frank Reger on Feb. 15, 1929. They moved to Battle Lake and farmed together. They moved to their farm south of Staples more than 60 years ago. She helped with the farm and also worked in the laundry at the Mary Rondorf Home in Staples for 18 years. After being widowed in 1978, she lived with her daughter in Staples. She has been a resident of Staples Care Center for the past few years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a guild member.

Survivors include three sons; Kenneth Reger, Staples, Delmer Reger, Monticello, Mike Reger, Browerville; two sisters, Adaline, Anoka, Elsie, Milwaukee; a brother, Verlee, Minneapolis; 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Two daughters, Irene and Donna; three sisters, Wilhemina, Isabella and Irene; and two brothers, Burt and Nicky, died earlier.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples with the Rev. Tim Wenzel officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Hills Cemetery in Staples.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Rosary and parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
