RUSSELL -- Warren Henry Stark, 78, Russell, formerly of Brainerd, died Thursday, April 27, 2000, at the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
He was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Milaca, to Elmer and Anna (Askling) Stark. He was baptized in the Swedish Lutheran Faith. He attended school in Milaca. He served in the Army in the Philippines during World War II. He married Doris Weber on Nov. 6, 1948. The couple lived in Fairmont. He was a mechanic. The family later moved to Pillager where he farmed and also owned and operated a mechanic business. After his retirement, he moved to Staples and spent his final years in Russell.
Survivors include two daughters, JoLynn Johnson, Minneota, Deborah Puglsey, Anchorage, Alaska; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two brothers, Albert Stark, Milaca, and Fred Stark, Princeton.
His wife, one son and three brothers died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rehkamp Funeral Home in Minneota with Pastor Timothy Wittwer officiating. Burial will be in Hemnes Lutheran Cemetery in Minneota.
Friends may one hour before the service at the funeral home.
