SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Sacramento Kings moved deeper into the postseason, thanking Karl Malone, John Stockton and the Utah Jazz for a lesson in playoff basketball.
Peja Stojakovic ended a shooting slump with 30 points, and 7-foot-1 center Vlade Divac made a long 3-pointer with 1:29 left as the Kings advanced to the second round with a 91-86 victory in Game 4 on Monday night.
The Kings, seeded first in the West after winning 61 regular-season games, will be home Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks for Game 1.
"Luck favors a prepared mind, and we were prepared to play," Sacramento coach Rick Adelman said. "We beat one of the best halfcourt teams. They gave us all we could handle. I'm glad to get this series over now."
Also Monday, Toronto beat Detroit 89-83 in Game 4 of their first-round series.
