FERGUS FALLS -- The Central Lakes College Raiders baseball team was led by Matt Lehrer, who went 4-for-8, as they split a doubleheader against the rival Fergus Falls Spartans Wednesday.
A four-run sixth inning helped the Raiders win the second game 5-4.
Down 3-1, CLC's Dan Saehr and Aaron Jenkins both reached on singles. Dave Schneider followed with a go-ahead double for a 4-3 Raiders lead.
Blake Thorson drove in the Raiders' insurance run.
Nick Metteer got the win in relief. Pete Marjamaa closed the deal for the Raiders getting the last three outs.
"We played really well," said CLC coach Warren Mertens. "Good pitching, good fielding, overall just two well played games. I'm very pleased."
In the first game, pitcher Joe Leiser struck out five and walked none in six innings, but the Raiders offense was absent as Fergus Falls won 3-1.
The Raiders need to win their last conference game to advance to the state tournament.
