LITTLE FALLS -- Jean (Moorhouse) Tillander, age 83, of Little Falls, Minn., passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004, at First United Church in Little Falls, Minn. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Pine Grove Park Fund in Little Falls.
Jean was born on Feb. 8, 1920, in Minneapolis to the late Raymond and Frances Moorhouse. She enjoyed her early family vacations to the North Shore and the Gunflint Trail. Jean graduated from University High in Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota. She began working for the Federal Reserve Bank. It was there she met Clayton E. Tillander and they later married on Oct. 2, 1942. Jean and Clayt moved to Little Falls in January of 1951. Jean was a member of the Eastern Star, Women's Club of Minneapolis and the First United Church. She enjoyed golf and bridge and her fondest memories in Little Falls included the Legion Club along with golf and bridge at the Little Falls Golf Course.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Tillander; daughter, Merodie Wright; two grandchildren, Melanie Shirley and John Tillander; and brothers, John, Thomas and Richard Moorhouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton.
The family wishes to extend a "thank you" to all the loving, helpful and caring families, neighbors and friends.
Arrangements are with Brenny-Simonet Funeral Home, East Chapel, in Little Falls, Minn.
