Jenny Gross, 12-year old Brainerd girl, may flinch every time she sees candles for a while. Jenny, the daughter of Bob and Judy Gross, was tripped-up on the word "Candelabrum" and finished second in the statewide spelling contest.

National Volunteer Week was marked April 20-26 across the country and nowhere more appreciatively than at Brainerd State Hospital where some 3,000 and more hours are averaged monthly by over 300 volunteers.
