Flyers shut out Sartell

LITTLE FALLS -- Shanna Bach pitched a three-hit shutout Thursday, leading the Little Flyers to a 1-0 victory over the Sartell Sabres in a Central Lakes Conference softball game Thursday.

Bach struck out six, walked two. The Flyers' Michelle Knopik went 1-for-3 and drove in the winning run.

AITKIN -- The Rush City Tigers scored four runs in the first three innings and went on to post an 8-3 triumph over the Aitkin Gobblers in Great River Conference softball Thursday. Aitkin was limited to just two hits and fell to 0-3 in the conference and 1-3 overall.

In game one, Jenna Schubert was 2-for-3, Stacy Block 2-for-4, Sheena Loidolt 2-for-5 and Kayla Pohlkamp went 2-for-3 for the Pioneers. Kristen Kapsner scored three times for Pierz.

In game two, Shelly Boser went 2-for-3 and Pohlkamp was 2-for-2.
