LITTLE FALLS -- Rose Jamma, 92, Pierz, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at St. Otto's Health Care Center in Little Falls.
She was born Jan. 13, 1909, in Buh Township to Frank and Mary (Friedrich) Konen. She married Edward Jamma on June 26, 1929, in Pierz. They farmed for many years. They moved to Pierz to retire from farming in 1964. Her husband died Sept. 29, 1964. She moved to St. Mary's Villa and then to Harmony House in Pierz. She volunteered at St. Mary's Villa. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and the Christian Mothers.
Survivors include a son, Donald Jamma, Pierz; a daughter, Esther Britz, Buckman; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Laura Jewell, Pine Island, Marianne Nelles, Marshfield, Wis., and Irene Sporlein, Chicago.
Her husband; five brothers, Reinhart, Edward, Alfred, Alphonse and Walter Konen; a sister, Mary Magdeline; and a grandson died earlier.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with Father Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery in Pierz.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Brenny Funeral Home in Pierz with Christian Mothers praying the rosary at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., and from 8 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home.
