Lester O. Hockert, 83, Merrifield, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at St. Joseph's Medical Center.
He was born April 28, 1917, in New London to Arthur M. and Agnes M. (Clemmer) Hockert. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a tool and die maker for World Tool Co.
Survivors include a son, Lee Hockert, Alexandria; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Harold Hockert and Leonard Hockert, both of Arizona.
His wife, Joanie, three brothers and a sister died earlier.
Private services were held. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Arrangements are with Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
