Gobblers knock off Hinckley

HINCKLEY -- Led by senior captain Melissa Hasskamp's 47, the Aitkin Gobblers girls golf team defeated Hinckley-Finlayson 205-206 in a Great River Conference girls' golf dual meet Monday at Grand National.

Aitkin's Melissa Welshons added a 40 followed by Emily O'Neil's 53 and Abbie Baker's 55.

Team scores -- 1-Aitkin 205, 2-Hinckley-Finlayson 206,

Pillager girls third

Pillager's Caitlin Kavanaugh finished third and teammate Kelley Kavanaugh was sixth in the Huskies' quadrangular coed golf meet Saturday at the Legacy.

The Huskies were third with 453 strokes.
