Firefighter hurt slightly

A Brainerd firefighter suffered a minor hand injury while fighting a house fire Friday on Pine Street in Brainerd.
No other injuries were reported, but residents of the rental home were forced to evacuate. The fire was reported at 7:09 p.m. at 1110 Pine Street. Firefighters remained on the scene for a couple of hours. Extensive damage was reported in a second-floor apartment's computer room with smoke and water damage in the building.
Some of the rental building tenants were forced to leave the home temporarily. The Red Cross was notified to help them find lodging.
