Staples-Motley topples Menahga

Cardinals end five-year drought

PARK RAPIDS -- The Staples-Motley Cardinals baseball team beat perennial power Menahga for the first time in five years, handing the Braves a 9-8 loss, then were beat 12-2 by Park Rapids in the Park Rapids tournament Saturday.

Tom Rolien had a two-run home run and a double and Zach Martin went 3-for-4 with another two-run bomb against Menahga.
