Red measles has reached epidemic levels in Brainerd, according to Dr. Mark Muesing, county health officer, particularly striking the senior and junior high schools. State officials have not recommended closing school.

Brainerd's city council last night rejected all bids for the sewer, water and street project in the industrial park area after two attorneys disagreed about an omission in the proposal of the low bidder.

A safe containing more than $800 in cash and checks was taken from the Brainerd Dairy early Friday. Entry was gained by forcing the rear door and the safe was evidently loaded into a truck.

A sister airship of the famous Spirit of St. Louis, proudly sporting two pontoons, took off from the waters of Rice Lake at Lum Park this morning. The well known pilot, C. R. Dusty Rhodes, was at the stick.

A deputation of steamboat and launch owners from this city called upon Maj. Davenport of the U. S. Engineer's office, urging the government take steps to clear the Mississippi of obstructions between the Brainerd dam and Little Falls dam.
